So I live about a solid 4 hours away from the closest recruiting office, and I don't know if my parents will take me there. I have a date set up for the 24th of January for my initial interview, but my dad's schedule is so weird that he can get called in on a moments notice and we're worried that that will happen. Would a recruiter travel here? And if they did, the local marine recruiters told me when I went to get my asvab scores (I took it in school a year ago and they were the career center that administered it) that he should be able to pull my scores from MEPS but if he isn't at his office, would he still be able to? And would he still be able to administer the PICAT test (if CG does that), should that be something I want to do if my scores cant get my the job I want?

These are questions you need to ask your recruiter.  They may be willing to travel, maybe not

Once your ASVAB scores are entered in the computer, any recruiter, any branch, any location, will be able to pull it up using your social security number. As for traveling, they are busy. If it is 4 hours for you, it is 4 hours for them as well. They might be slow enough to warrant a trip to you. They might be so slammed, you will have all telephone interviews and discussions. One of our former recruiters, Gears, on this site has traveled to recruits that have been a bit farther away. He has also recruited people without ever meeting face to face. So call the recruiter, explain the situation, let them know you would like to come in to the office but it might not be feasible. What will they be able to do to help you? They will let you know. I don't know what the PICAT text is and if Coasties use that or not. I don't remember my son taking that particular test.

Old Guard speaks truth. In more than one case I worked with applicants via mail, email, etc so they could take the test and submit medical information. In a few cases I only got to meet them on a couple of occasions to visit MEPS and to sign their contract. It's a challenge, but it can be done.
