They must have changed the recruiting site. They used to have the OJAK on there and they had a page with board dates and application deadlines.
Normally there are 2 boards like your buddies mentioned. But there are several deadlines months out from the board. I’m pretty sure my application deadlines were in Jun, package cleanup and interviews for a few months, board was in early Sept, found out late Nov, a lot of waiting and more hoop jumping, and then commission dates were in Apr and Jun. It’s a really lengthy process.
I want to say up to 2yrs can be waived since your last military flight, and know a few army guys who got out for awhile and then applied a lot later to join. I may be wrong here, but even if you’re getting out, you will still need a DD368 to release you from any IRR time on your contract. That’s also a painful and lengthy process and they won’t process your application without it.
Your recruiter definitely has the most up to date information. If they’re not telling you about the fall board it’s probably because it’s likely up in the air with all the covid stuff, or at this point it’s too late to process everything you need to get done.
