Really appreciate these forums and the great questions and answers that are on here. I'm hoping to go DCA when my ADSO is up and I'm curious if anyone on here knows how the aviation support for Cutters works, specifically regarding at-sea tours. (My apologies if this is not the correct terminology. I'm an Army CPT and doing my best to speak the right language)
Are specific Air Stations tagged to support specific cutters or are they more regionally aligned to support any operations within their area of responsibility? What is the best way to guarantee or increase your possibility of going to sea?(ex. choosing specific locations, HH65-vs HH60J etc.) What are the expectations for pilots while at sea? (Additional duties, mission set, average flying etc.)
Any and all information regarding aviation assets in support of Cutters would be greatly appreciated. It is such a foreign concept to me and I would love to get a better idea on what that potentially looks like.
