Hi all, first thank you for maintaining this forum, I have found it to be a wealth of good information and appreciate the knowledge.
I've been waiting on MEPS to schedule my physical since early July after submitting the pre-screening packet (with about 10 pages of supplemental documents). I followed up at the end of July with my recruiter who said it had been taking a couple of weeks for this to occur, and as of now it's been about 9 weeks total and 5 since I've heard back from my recruiter. Nothing in my pre-screening packet is obviously disqualifying to me, most of the paperwork was x-rays for a few broken bones I've had.
Since then I followed up with my recruiter twice via email and then called and left a voicemail every other week since mid August to check up on the status of this but my recruiter hasn't gotten back to me on since the August 1st. I'm not sure if I should expect to wait longer before I hear back or to keep trying to follow up with my recruiter? As I understand it hurry up and wait is to be expected, but I wasn't sure if I should keep following up, or if this wait was to be expected with the current MEPS and something that other people are experiencing as well.
I understand my recruiter may be over-burdened and take awhile to respond, as well as COVID may have created a backlog at MEPS, but I want to make sure I'm following up on the status of this via the proper channels without creating more work/badgering my recruiter and was hoping you all had advise/words of wisdom on this situation.
