    What is the procedure for a reservist transferring? My husband is in the CG Reserves and we recently moved with his job, 4 hours away from his old station. There is a CG station 4 minutes away from our house, but the CG won't transfer him so he has to drill once a month or more 4 hours drive away (in the same state). I just wondered if this was normal to refuse a transfer. He's been in for 5 years active duty and almost 1 year as reservist.

    It all really depends on wether that unit 4 minutes away needs a person of your husbands rate and rank there. They are not going to over fill a unit in most cases leaving others vacant.

    Its always going to come down to needs of the service.
