i am going to say it is more then 25 percent. the best way to do it is take paper wrap your arm up with it then divide it into 4 sections. if it takes more then one section to cover it up then you are over teh limit no exceptions except getting it removed

just looking at it looks like it is about 35 to 45 percent they measure from wrist bone to elbow all the way around

michelle i really like the tat of the ship. congrats and dont see much left that can be done to it but there is no telling what he wants to do or shade. i am looking at doing something to an older tat that i got at 15 it needs touched up so i might just do a complete redo of it if i get time and money

ok wrap your whole arm with paper there should be absloutely no over lap or space and go from elbow to wrist bone. then divide it into 4ths. if there is even the littlest piece sticking out you are more then 25% it is hard to tell because i didnt see the paper around your arm.

Try this: Since it is only on one side of your forearm, measure the length of your forearm from the crease of your elbow to the crease of your wrist. Then measure the height of the tattoo from the very top to the very bottom. If the length of the tattoo is more than half the length of your arm, then it's possible they may consider it to be more than 25% coverage.<!-- Edit -->

If were to get a tattoo while active duty, within the CG guidelines of course!!, would it hurt my chances of being selected for OCS or flight training further down the road? I've thought about a coast guard tattoo at some point.

Very nice! Colin wants to do a night/day sleeve sort of thing... one arm a beautiful tall sailing ship, a mermaid, an orca, some other beautiful sea creatures. The other arm a dark ship, torn sails, sea monsters... the yin/yang... good/bad sort of thing.

Did they really?!?!?!?! Oh I have to text someone... I don't follow hockey without Colin, he kept it interesting and very entertaining for me!

Last night he went to check out scalped tickets to the Bruins game. He decided the tickets were too much so he went to a bar near the arena to have a beer and watch the game. He wouldn't get it on his barracks tv, so the bar seemed like the best alternative. The place is right next to a stub hub place. I guess tickets that are unsold or unclaimed are just given away after the 1st period. The bartender told Colin she had a single ticket, if he wanted it, it was his... he looked at the ticket, threw a 20 on the bar for a $5 beer and took off. $135 seat, 7 rows from the glass in the loge seats... he got it for free!!! Bruins lost, night sucked but the seat was great and he got it for free. :)
