    I am restoring a 1986 Riveria Crusier pontoon. When I purchased it I was not aware that the rating placard was unreadable.

    I have no idea or knowing for sure what the maximum horsepower rating or the maximum number of people I can legally carry on the pontoon right now. I've "heard" this & that but I would like to know for sure more from a safety point of view then anything else. PLUS I would like to know if it is a legal requirement to have the placard displayed as I have seen on every other boat.

    The mfg. of Riveria Crusier is no longer in business & I am trying to find a way of learning the information I need & possibly having a new placard issued for the boat.

    Any help or information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
