Feel free to ask me anything. I'm a licensed Master Captain and will try my best to answer any questions you many have in regards to qualifications, licensing process, license grades, routes, etc. |

Welcome aboard Nick!! How did you here about us?

I had my Masters Captains license in a tackle box on my boat and the tackle box and license have been stolen. How do I get a duplicate license? Thanks for your help! |

Answered you on the other thread too but here is the form you need to fill out... http://www.uscg.mil/forms/cg/CG_719B.pdf You may also want to contact the National Maritime Center as well just to confirm this is the only form you need to fill out. Their phone number is 1-888-427-5662 |

Hello CptNick, you said feel free.... How does one go from an Inland 100t master to NCoastal? I understand deck time will be involved again to build up sea service for an endorsement. Where would you recommend to start? Thanks

Believe it or not you have to retake an approved captains course. Its a really stupid rule but thats what I was told when I got my license. Its not simply an endorsement, its an entirely new route. In addition, you will need to show sufficient near-coastal sea time to warrant the route.
Technically, even though you have a Master "Inland", your still covered for OUPV out to 200nm (near-coastal waters). It just cant be an inspected vessel, in which case you need the Master. |
