I saw this question asked on a different forum and found that the information shared was not only OMG funny but very educational as well in reagard of "what not to do during boot camp".

If you would like to share so others may learn and laugh feel free but please do not list any dates, SR name or what company anybody was in.

    Enjoy the memories!

    DO NOT:

Sneak into the Company Commander's Office and use the phone to call home.
That gets you reverted or worse.

Steal a Snickers Bar off the Company Commander's desk. That was bait, and the fish were biting bigtime!

Stroll past the CC's office the night before graduation with your hat on backwards, and your shirt untucked (that gets you LOTS of attention, immediately!)

Try to "pick up" a CC's wife while on Saturday leave in Wildwood during week seven. Gets you reverted all the way back.

In my company during the mile and a half run physical assessment, one of the females raised her hands up in the air in that field goal gesture and screamed out "I have to pee!!"

The CCs were astonished and didn't believe what they heard and saw. They let her go after she said she'd wet herself running.

I was astonished to see (at Cape May) out in the parade field, it is covered with these profiles of big dogs. Just when I thought that was an interesting decoration, my daugher explained that they were supposed to scare the seagulls away. Needless to say, there were seagulls sitting on each of these 'dog profiles'~

We had a couple of crazy things. We had a girl urinate on herself in formation. We had to recruits hide from the CC, when they were found they had to run and hide under things and say pick-a-boo I see you.

Too funny on the "peek-a-boo"...what could they have been thinking trying to hide from the CC's

I forgot to add an embarassing moment for me. During a "sniper session" I lowered my gun out of weakness (mind over matter) and my CC asked me what I was hunting for. I didn't know what to say, and of course he demanded an answer, I replied, "dust bunnies, Chief (Name I won't mention)!" Not the best thing to say. he made me crawl on the floor and yell "bang I got one" when I saw a dust bunny under the racks.

My company (I-180) was doing 'bad' in training in about week 5 or 6. So we were told that we weren't going to have a very fun weekend (turns out everything is planned anywho, regardless of how well training is going). On saturday we had to pack all our belongings in our sea bags and grab our pieces to carry with us. Ended up marching the entire perimiter of TRACEN Cape May. If we stopped for chow or class, we were made to stack our sea bags to make a circular wall or pill box bunker. Our shipmates who were reverted into our company had to crouch in the middle of the 'bunker' and aim their pieces at any bird, squirrel, bug, or 'anything else besides people' that moves and yell 'bang.' Was fun to watch and try not to laugh.

Word of advice to family members!  When they say "letters only" to those in boot camp, they mean letters only.  My cousin sent a "musical" card to my daughter and she had to do push ups in front of her fellow recruits while the card sat on her back playing "here comes Peter Cotton Tail".  It was the most embarassing moment of her life; but we get a good chuckle out of it now!

    about those dog profiles,

On thanksgiving 2007 (T-178) while I was there, our company commander made one guy go and act like he was walking one of those dogs and another guy sit next to one and pet it....It was pretty freakin funny but I couldn't laugh of course.

We also had a guy try to smuggle cookies out of the galley and got caught so he had to keep a cookie with him at all times (sleep with it, put it in a plastic bag and shower with it, ect).  He also had to go around and say "yum, yum, yum, I'm the cookie monster around the ENTIRE base (even the two WMEC's, station cape may, and the admin building).

The son was there at the same time with S-178. They were present in the galley when it started, and that was funny enough, but much later, after they had forgotten about the whole thing, they were being marched around some unlit portion of the base when, coming toward them out of the darkness, they heard "yum, yum, yum, I'm the Cookie Monster". As Cookie Monster and his escorts passed them, they were all on the verge of losing it when suddenly they were commanded "Come pa nee...Halt. About hace!" And left there for a while. Their CC had to walk away to compose himself before they could resume their march...<!-- Edit -->

Yeah, my husband said even though they can be incredibly scary at times, the CCs also have crazy senses of humor. He was always trying hard not to laugh at them. One guy in his company got caught looking out the window during chow. The CC made him stand next to the window for the rest of chow and sing "I look out the window and what do I see? A little birdie pretty as can be." My husband said it was all he could do not to crack up at this huge guy singing in a little girl voice.

We had i girl with the glasses that turn into sunglasses in the sun...she was given the name trinity (From the matrix) and was told to 'go bullet time' in the galley in front of everyone.

We had one kid pass out and face plant claiming he had a heat stroke on january 21st.

We lost our final silver pennant because some jerk left his chapstick on his rack...(we would've gotten every pennant.)

My company commanders were soo funny. By far funniest and scariest at the same time was ..AMT ( I think) Thompson. That man had the sickest sense of humor that had us all rolling and then of course doing IT for laughing.

The FIRST week upon meeting the CC's we were on our way to chow, trying to meet the time objectives which are never met in the beginning. We had just got done takin a shower and were rushing. One of the shipmmates was rushing so fast that he forgot to put on the blue undershirt! So he only had his ODU shirt- with his chest easily showing. Unbelievable. Once P.O Thompson saw him he went crazy. He made the guy stand out of formation and sing "Aint nothing but a hound dog" and shake his hips like Elvis, and pop and hold his collar, all the while jamming out to the made believe guitar. He stood him RIGHT in front of me, and i was almost crying from trying not to laugh.. all the while Thompson kept saying "Funny Romero? Funny? Laugh i dare you? I think its great!! HEY MOVE YOUR HIPS ELVIS! SING LOUDER ! "

my shipmate used the word repeat, once and it has a different meaning than normal. when my CC heard this he shot the recruit dead with his hand, put crime scene body tape around him on the floor, and made him lay in the dead position for like an hour.
