There is a huge difference between Reserves and Active duty. Active Duty is full time, reserves are a 1 weekend a month and two weeks a year schedule. You wiull be a reservist from the day you graduate boot and will be required to drill even while in college. The split program will allow you to attend your "A" school the following summer.
