    Aloha friends!

    I was so blessed to be invited by the Admiral in charge of the 14th District to the change of command ceremony at the Barbers Point Air Station here in Hawaii Yesterday.  I actually got to get a tour of a C130 and the helicopters.  I will attach some pictures later in this thread as well.  It was such a proud moment.  I had met the Admiral the night before at a dinner we were both attending here for the Emperor and Emporess of Japan.  I told him all about Heather and how much she is loving the Coast Guard and she was the honor graduate etc.  He gave me his card and asked for her contact information so he could send her an encouraging email!!!  WOW!!!  He is such a great, down-to-earth family man!!!  Anyway, yesterday was AMAZING!!!!

    Thank you so much for posting these. They are amazing pictures! The more and more I see helos ... the more and more I want to be in one! Ugh. I wish I knew what I was doing! haha.

    What great pictures!!! I'm hoping, hoping, hoping I'll be able to post Change of Command ceremony pictures next summer... I'm really hoping & praying that my ex gets his first command. You want to talk about wanting to know what you're doing... he should find out around Christmas! I'm his ex and I'm keeping every finger crossed for him... LOL

    I was LOL-One of the Coasties asked me if I wanted him to take a picture of me next to the helo's or C130 and I told him no - my daughter was on a cutter and she would think I was cheating on her!!! What a great bunch of guys!!
