It must be a full moon today given the events of evertyhing .... but this has, by far, been the most horrific, disgusting news that I have heard in a long time. Thoughts and prayers to the soldiers, their families, and the branch of Army, as well as their fellow service members. As it's unfolding, it just becomes much more worse than expected.

Well, there now reporting that they questioned two suspects but neither one was involved. So there's one shooter who has been shot by police.

My condolences go out to all of those family's and soldiers at fort hood.

Edit: Just heard that the shooter is not dead but in custody, and there are 12 dead and 31 wounded.<!-- Edit -->

Lets hope the FBI gets to the bottom of this! Our hearts are breaking for these families.

Another soldier died over night. There are now 13 dead. The story that is coming out about all of this is extremly disturbing.

This is so horrific...we are supposed to be safe at home. Maj. Hassain (sp?) is alive, a civilian cop brought him down. I can't believe he's not dead...I really have no words.

This becomes more disturbing as the story unfolds. Many prayers and much gratitude to all involved. In addition, the efforts of Sgt. Kimberly Munley (civilian) will never again go unnoticed as she went ahead of others, laying her life on the line, to keep this man from killing his brothers/sisters. It's a scary thought, to try to envision why such an attack could and would take place. Also, it's scary to think what direction we're heading towards as a nation .... if you have been aware of the news coming out of Florida this morning. It's unbelievable that 8 years ago we were uniting unlike I have ever seen, but have always dreamed about. Today, however, we continue to kill each other for unknown or trivial reasons. Heroes aren't limited to uniforms or labels and enemies aren't always in plain sight. That is now obvious.
