You can write in the comments section what you want. I wrote that I needed internet at least every few days for school, I wanted to be on a cutter, and I wanted a dive unit, and I got everything I wanted in USCGC Healy. Most people got what they wanted if they wrote it down, it was the ones that left it blank that got places they didn't want.

But I didn't any of the four districts I wrote down because they gave me what I wanted from the comment section.
I don't want to be a product of my environment. I want my environment to be a product of me.

Okay, I transferred recruiting offices and am awaiting my final ship date (since I'm actually going to do it this time around). Looks like October. But I forgot to check in about my pay grade. Previously, my old recruiter said guaranteed district (which I honestly never wanted) and E-3 on account of the two pieces of paper gathering dust on my shelf. I never asked my current recruiter about the pay scale, but I'm assuming (moreso hoping) E-3 is still on?

Can you be stationed at an Air Station as a non-rate?

If it is in your contract E-3 is still completely doable at this point. Guaranteed districts has gone by the wayside but that doesn't seem to be too much of a problem for you! Best of luck on that October date!!! Let us know when you find out!! Good luck.

Nonrates can be assigned to the Air Stations, but you won't be in the Airman Program. They are mutually exclusive.

+1 Gears. I am a non rate at an Air Station right now. It's a good time, can be a little slow, but it's all in what you make of it.

Thanks!  My recruiter's actually very ill and they're not sure when she'll be back in the office.  I wish her a speedy recovery.  So that's a minor glitch.  Also my prior recruiter has yet to send my physical from MEPS.  They said they're still waiting.... and that's all they're waiting for...  Ah well.  In due time.  But I am so happy that non-rates can be at Air Stations!  Oh man, I am not sure if I would want to go an aviation rate or not, but I sure do love seeing anything that can be in the air and hover around!   Anything will do just fine, though.

I was told the same thing, I even signed a document saying I understood it was guaranteed. I received a 76 afqt score. But Im going into the Reserves, so it may be different.

The Reserves is different. You have to be assigned to a unit and have an A school date prior to departing for boot camp.
