    My name is Kera and I'm soon to be Coastie. I have already taken the ASVAB and went through MEPS. I have a Bachelors degree but will be enlisting instead of going the officer route. I am leaning towards the MST rating or the IT rating.

    Hey welcome your in the same part of the process as me!!! What did you get in your ASVAB you must have gotten a very high score because MST needs a high score<!-- Edit -->

    My husband and I are from florida too. I lived in Port Saint Lucie and my husband was from Boynton Beach. We got sent to Virginia.

    I live in Orlando and hope to get stationed somewhere other than Florida. I got an 88 on the ASVAB, I knew I had to get a high score for the MST rating. I have yet to tour a coast guard bases hopefully when I am done with all this background check.

    nice good job on the ASVAB i got an 82 and i qualify for everything i still don't know what to chose

    Hey Bahchic,

    Congrats on everything. GO MST! Haha. After basic you will go to your first duty station and THERE is where you will put your name on the A school waiting list... in this case the MST waiting list because MST is the best ever lol.
