    I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer Southwell. My husband Phil left this morning for boot camp. It has been a long day, but I am hanging in there. Everyone's comments and advice are so helpful and encouraging. I am glad to have found this site...it seems to be one of the few things helping to keep my sanity at the moment. Like they say..."it's only eight weeks" and he will be back before I know it.

    PS if anyone can give me some pointers on fantasy football. My dear hubby made me promise I would keep track of his teams and write to him about it. Only problem, is I know NOTHING about fantasy football... confused

    Congrats. I remember this day (it was August 18th of this year for me) so well. Looking forward to seeing your journey over the next 2 months and helping out in anyway! My husband made me send him updates of the Little League World Series when he was in boot camp lol wish I could help with fantasy football but I have no idea!

    Thanks! It was like Christmas morning when I dropped him off at MEPS this morning. I had such a rush of emotions. Now I feel like I should be doing something but I don't know what. Oh well!

    I am from just outside of Winston Salem....my hubby could kill to be in Charleston. I think it is a close second to Alaska...

    Welcome Jennifer. I'm from NC, too....live over in Raleigh. My situation is a bit different....I'm a CG Mom instead of a wife.....but I can definitely relate to what you're going through. This board is great.....lots of information and support....so whenever you need anything, make sure you stop by. There are alot of wonderful people here who would be happy to help out.
