    Hello everyone! Hope you all have had a great Christmas/Holiday.

    I am enlisting, signing into the Delayed Entry Program next Wednesday and heading to boot camp March 9th. Before I head to boot camp I am also submitting my OCS packet for the 07/10 class. I was wondering if anyone who had experience with OCS applications would be willing to look over my resume and narrative and let me know if I'm on the right track? Constructive criticism is very welcome :). I really appreciate your time.

    Have you Tried your recruiter? We see many Narratives and resumes that work and do not work. He/She will be able to give you a wealth of information and guidance!

    Lindsey, good luck!  I don't know if anyone's pointed you in the direction of the OCS board at coastguardocs.org but Chief Thomas was wonderful in assisting.  However he, too, is away at OCS starting sometime after the first of the month.  I submitted my packet last year, but it was never fully submitted.  I am attempting to re-submit it and possibly DEP myself.  To be honest, my parents are less than thrilled and I am more than scared.  I have many questions ... so you could possibly have the answers.  If you're willing to PM, I would love to discuss it.  And it would be great to contact a fellow recruit before shipping out.

    Either way, the site is great.  I have copies of all of my packet materials if you need anything.  I had a professor from grad school look over everything to make sure I sounded halfway intelligent and read up on some good material before hand.
