The class date has not been confirmed as of yet. The next OCS panel will meet in April and results wont be out to mid to late may at the earliest. Class usually starts within 4-6 weeks of notification. Welcome to the world of Officer Applicant processing! We all get to hurry up and wait lol.

Wow, seems like you do have a very busy office Chuck!!
This is my long term goal, to get into OCS. I have been trying to find out everything I can do to prepare myself for being an applicant in about 3 or 4 year range.
I have been a volunteer for Civil Air Patrol as a Senior Member for about 6 months and plan on keeping my status active by transfering after I get to my first CG unit. I know GPA needs to be high, and try to get the best marks I can while enlisted.
Other than these what else can you recomend, what would set me apart from other applicants in the future since I have time to prepare? |

When my son applied we joined an OCS Portal site where there are lots of people waiting to hear about their packages and acceptance. The list will not be published. This portal was great because it was a place for those who were waiting to finally hear if the list was out and when people were being notified they would post. The OCS class was able to form bonds with the other candidates prior to arriving in New London and it was great for their families to meet online. There were a few people on the alternate list who were given the good news two days prior to OCS! This is a good place to check. http://www.coastguardocs.org/portal/index.php
