Anyone may reply, but I am thinking these are specific enough that a recruiter would need to answer.
I have been researching the diffrent paths to an officer position.  Any I have read all the requirments on the gocoastguard.com webpage but still come up with a few questions...

    1. For the BLUE 21 FLIGHT INITIATIVE, if someone was to be active duty CG and met all the other requirments, could they apply for this program?

    2.  If you were to meet all the requirments for CSPI and PPEP, could you apply for both of them if you were active duty CG?
-----Would this give you a better chance of being selected or would you only be able to submit one application or interview once instead of twice?

    3. I am a little confused about applying for OCS.  If you area civilian you meet the requirments and then apply with a bachelors.  But if you go enlisted active duty with the CG, then the same person has to make E-5 or above and min. of 4 years active duty?
-----If not, could you explain the diffrences?

I appreciate the help and anyone that may reply!   smilewinkgrin
There is only so much one can google untill you keep ending up at gocoastguard.comscool

Can't help with (1) and (2). With (3) however, if you have the required degree, you can apply to OCS at any time, including before and/or right out of boot. The other qualifications are for enlisted without a degree.

Wepprop, thanks for the #3 that does help.

I am very interested in #1 if anyone has some input? I can do without #2 but if nothing else, could a recruiter or someone help me locate the proper manual or link, etc.. so I can look further myself?

    Thanks

    AET2b,

On Active Duty, you are looking at the AVCAD program, not blue21.

You are looking at PPEP on active duty, and can apply to that program

Blue21, and CSPI are accession programs, AVCAD and PPEP are used once enlisted.

    Hope this helps!

    Chuck
