Congrats! I also received my confirmation today as well. I'm very excited and glad I had a great recruiter who made the process as quick as possible! It will be my first time leaving my hometown so I'm extremely nervous, but the opportunity to serve the Coast Guard is something that I can't pass up. I also will go in as a non-rate but ill go in as an E-2. Hope the A-school list for ME opens up sometime in the next year or so!

Oh unless "the crud" transforms me I'll be coming out as a female, lol. I'm coming out of Lakeview, Chicago IL, I run along Belmont Harbor and the boats and water foreshadow the new and awesome exciting life I am going to have soon. I hope to go to BM A-School (be gentile Gears), but would go to ME school instead if it happens to open up.

How do you figure out what company name your going to have ?

And I want to say thanks to my recruiter as well he is awesome and I was nervous after reading some horror stories about some of the recruiters out there, however mine was awesome and I think like most of the recruiters out there, he really seems proud of his branch and service.

I think my group will be Oscar 183 :)

Hey everyone! I decided to see if there was some sort of discussion board for coast guard people and I wasn't expecting anything like this. My twin and I both are set in stone to go to boot camp june 1st. I busted it out for this, I had to lose 25lbs in a month and a half and I did it. I don't know about you guys, but for the most part you all look just as excited as me. Can't wait to meet you guys in philly before the "fun" starts haha.

oh i forgot to add, my twin and I are both going in as E-2 and ME "A" school for next summer. (RK program)
