    Salt Lake City, Utah – KSTU-TV is reporting that a Coast Guard helicopter with 5 souls on board has crashed in Summit County, Utah. According to the report rescuers are using snowmobiles to get to the crash site.

    SALT LAKE CITY — Officials say a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter has crashed in the Uinta Mountains in Utah.
    Summit County sheriff's office Det. Ron Bridge says two people reportedly sustained serious injuries, one had minor injuries and two others on board were not hurt.
    Bridge says the helicopter crew reported the crash via text message around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to a third party, who called 911.
    Bridge says it's still unclear where the crash happened. Crews, including some on snowmobiles, are searching the mountains.
    Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus says investigators are on hand to help. He says preliminary reports are that two Coast Guard aircraft were headed from Salt Lake City to Leadville, Colo., when one crashed.

    It sounds like the crew is hurt but safe! So Thank God for the small blessings.

    According to Fox News (yeah, I know) the other helo flying alongside, already airlifted out the 2 crew members that were seriously injured and rescue personnel are on site. 

    Tragedy of course to lose a helo but as of right now it sounds like we didn't lose any Guardians.  Helo's can be bought... glad our Coasties are ok.

    they are very very lucky and im so happy everyone is safe. although i did go to cnn.com thinking hey maybe they will have something about it... do they nope!!! they have a story about some fertilizer castroating frogs but nothing about a coast guard helo going down.. seriously what has the world come to now? ok im done venting
