    Good Morning,
Our DS is heading to IS School. We are so proud of him.yeah
I can not find exactly what he can or can not take to school. Can he bring his TV? Does he just take his sea bag? I remember before at bootcamp, they gave them a list of what to pack.
I know that he will be living in dorms, but do they supply everything he needs for the room? Oh my, he is going to college again.lol
My son would greatly appreciate any imput you can give him of others experiences in this new adventure.
    Thanks one and all.

i know how anxious you were for those orders.
is he driving to school or flying in? that will
make all difference as to what he will take with him.

if he is taking his car...

he will want bedding for a twin size bed for sure.
    a small t.v. is probably a possibility....i know
in petaluma the kids had them.
toys.....golf clubs, surf board, what ever his thing is.
and of course civilian clothes, study materials and
    anything else he might want.

if he doesn't want it in the barracks he can always
lock it in the trunk of his car. :-)

Don't know about who does what but I know that there is IS1 that is working in the ITT/MWR office. She has been in for over 10 years and not sure what she wanted to do originally but it looks like she is more of a yeoman/admin assistant for the MWR office. Maybe she is finishing out her tour?

The Fiscal Year starts on Oct 1st.

The Oct 1st date would be FY2011. We are already in FY2010. :)

That was no typo on your part... no one really had a typo! I could just see confusion about FY and starting in October and does that mean 2010 starts in October or is that already next year? So no typos at all... just hoping to make some of the mud a little clearer. :)
