I received an application to be a Merchant Marine in New York. to be an OS Deckhand.
Ive filled it out.
Got my physical.
and are you supposed to get a drug test completed then send it? i didnt know. didnt think it made alot of sence to give them a drug test thats like a month old. but anyways..
He told me to look on USCG.org for the address to send in the application... well, he died or something. (not really, i havent been able to get ahold of him in like 3 months) and i cant find the address to send in the application no where. Does anyone know what it is? id really really appreciate it!!

Hes probably referring to a "Random Drug Testing Program". All merchant mariners (myself included, Im a Master) must be enrolled in one.

If your on Long Island, try calling Sea School or Nautical School. Both can arrange a drug test and get you enrolled in a program.

Start looking, jobs are scarce. Get your STCW-95 and TWIC, most companies require it for employment.
