i would suggest waiting until he there and checked in. he will be given his p.o. box in the barracks pretty quickly. then ship in out in a flat rate box. it may be an extra few days.....but he will definately receive it. shipping things otherwise is a crap shoot and it could very easily be lost on base and take months for him to get it.
weather should be in the 50-60's. not too bad!!
