So, as many of you know I've joined AUX while waiting to go active duty. Last week I got to go on patrol with a 33 from STA Ft.Lauderdale and also out with Broward Sheriffs Office and their new 1.5 million dollar 48 ft Safe Boat...and got to do high speed maneuvers

. That's a different and fun story.
Anywho.....Ft.Lauderdale has Fleet Week every year. This year there's quite a few interesting ships coming in, including USS Independance (LCS-2). I can't ait to see that one, I saw USS Freedom (LCS-1) when it came in STA Miami last year, BAD-ASS doesn't even begin to describe it! Getting back on track, tomorrow my friend Peter ( Also in AUX ) and I are going out with STA Ft.Lauderdale and BSO to help escort the ships in and do whatever else is needed. I'm not sure which platforms we'll be going out on but it's bound to be fun either way

I'll take a bunch of photos and some video's if I can. I know you guys, as well as I , like to see this stuff from other areas.
Oh yea, P.S.
USCGC Key West will be there too. It's usually a WMEC or WHEC thats on a carribbean patrol that stops in. This is the smallest cutter I've seen there since I've been going as a kid.
