Anchor Light while underway?
I'm the local Boat US/Vessel Assist owner/operator in my area. I hold a Master Inland 50ton with Radar Unlimited, CAT, OUPV Near Coastal with Radar Unlimited, CAT and I'm an AB Special.
My morning routine is to go out to the last buoy before the "Bar", drink coffee and watch vessels transit the Bar.
There is a large commercial fleet of fishing vessels in my area that operate 24/7. This morning I counted 5 commercial fishing vessels outbound crossing the bar showing only an all round white light on top of their mast. I stopped counting after 5. These vessels ranged from 35-60'. After the 5th vessel I just couldn't stand it anymore! I called the last vessel and asked the captain if he planed to anchor on the bar because he was lighted as such. It was raining and fog.
S@#* hit the fan, putting it simply.
I'm I justified in my objection? Comments? Why didn't the Coast Guard watch tower see any of this? Am I the only one paying attention?

This happens every day.<!-- Edit -->
