    Our son has been in the CG for almost three years. It seems like yesterday that he was in boot camp. He went from boot camp to Cape Canaveral, FL where he served on the USCGC Confidence for six months. Then he went to OS A school in Petaluma, CA. Since November of 2008, he has been at Sector Key West, Florida. He is now an OS2 living in a house with two friends and has a swimming pool!!!! Tough life! Of course, he does have to stay in Key West when hurricanes come. He is one of the ones who does not evacuate.

    Our older son serves in the US Navy in Hawaii. So we have absolutely awesome vacation destinations!!! We have already been to Key West this summer and we are headed to Hawaii in July!!!
