I have been trying to contact anyone from auxiliary flotillas in the southwest florida region. I currently reside in cape coral. I have sent various emails with no responses. Any idea's? Thank you for the help.

let me know when you figure it out. i have been trying to do the same here in the mid-west with the same results.

Have you tried going there? I know your not suppose to just show up but it might work for you.

Because the auxiliary is a volunteer service there is no where to walk to. Most flotillas meet at restaurants, cg bases, parks, meeting halls, marinas etc. Most don't really have permanent headquarters. The only office you may have some luck with, is the Active duty DIRAUX for the District. They may be able to put pressure on the individual flotilla commanders to call but that will also get the flotilla commander in trouble. If you don't mind that - go right ahead-the commanders probably need a good butt kicking.

It took me awhile to get in touch with someone at the St. Pete Flotilla. I found the phone number for the Flotilla Commander online and called him, left a message and someone returned my call the same day. That was after 2 weeks of emails, but they were really nice and apologized for the email confusion and invited me to the next meeting. Just keep trying and good luck!

It's always, always, always best to call. A lot of our Flotilla Commanders in the CGAux are up there in age and don't check their email as much as the younger folks. I have met some younger Flotilla Commanders as well but, they really had to work hard to get to that position. I consider young FC's to be somewhat rare.
