I am new here and would like to get any insight on becoming an AST. I am currently 24 and a Lifeguard and a Personal Trainer. I have been researching military since I left high school in 2004 and all through college and upon graduation from there in 2009. I know exactly what I want. I have a minor hernia I am getting taken care of and waiting my 6 months to get recleared through MEPS. Upon, hopefully, getting cleared again I am going to go full force at doing whatever it takes to get me where I need to be in order to hopefully one day have the same honor as any other AST. If anyone has any insight for what it takes and the road ahead of me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
