Anybody see the Coast Guard rescue on House MD? Long story short when I went to DEP I watched my first house episode and have been hooked. Usually watch an episode a day underway to keep my mind off of seasickness, im coming close to having watched every episode, I just saw one when I was walking out the door that had a coast guard rescue, and the AST put the guy under the water until he choking pretty good (he wouldn't let go of a suitcase), and than I had to leave. Do ASTs really put people under the water like that? |

I didn't think there was an episode of House I haven't seen but I don't remember this one at all. I'll have to look for it, what season, do you know? |

season 3 episode 24-2007 A woman and her husband are rescued from the middle of the ocean when their trip from Cuba to the US goes awry. While in air the man conveys that his wife is sick and that they need to see Dr. House. Unfortunately the medical records of the man's wife were lost at sea when the Guard made him leave the suitcase that contained them in the ocean. Tensions rise high in the Diagnostics department on the eve of Foreman's departure and the almost Sci-fi case that they are working. At the very end House is left with an immense conflict to be resolved in the next season. |

I do remember that episode... I don't remember the beginning of putting the guy underwater. This is just speculation... maybe it is easier to revive a drowned man then to have the rescue swimmer die trying to save a panicked individual who will not let go of personal belongings???? We will have to wait until an AST or someone more knowledgeable chimes in! |

Sorry, I quit watching House after I realized that the format of almost every episode is exactly the same and only the name of the (rare) diseases are changed from week to week and that any real doctor that did any of the things that House does would lose his medical license forever about 20 minutes into any episode you might pick. I am, however, still in awe of Hugh Laurie's ability to do an American accent that's better than most American's. I would also include Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica) and Damian Lewis (Band of Brothers) in that list. |

If you watch any show on TV you realize there is no way in the real world it is done that way. I watch TV for an escape from what reality has to offer. When I want to see what reality is all about I turn on Discovery or TLC or History but for just an escape... ER was no better as far as unrealistic, as was JAG! Can you imagine the sexual harrassment lawsuits if anyone in the CG ever spoke to an individual like on JAG!!! Holy cow! Of course my favorite stupid show that I don't watch is "Army Wives". Can that possibly be any further from reality?? I remember someone telling me once they refused to watch Northern Exposure because it wasn't filmed in Alaska, it was filmed in Washington and that wasn't real. Well Mary Tyler Moore wasn't filmed in Minnesota and Bob Newhart wasn't filmed in an inn in Vermont... I told that person to get over it to. She was an Alaskan resident who was personally offended by it. |

"If you watch any show on TV you realize there is no way in the real world it is done that way." There are a number of shows on TV that don't cross my threshold for willing suspension of disbelief. Those that do, I do not watch.

house gets old, it's miss diagnose and about 30-40 minutes in the patient almost dies, and than house is in to save the day. Occasionally they let someone die. I've moved on to White Collar and Royal Pains, occasionally dropping in on whale wars (for laughs) and without a trace |

I am more the Criminal Minds & Law & Order type. I do like House and some other medical type shows... but give me good cops & robbers, I'm a happy girl. There looks to be some new cop shows coming out in the fall, they look good. Of course the thing that has me most riveted to television right now... Who is going to be the next American Idol judge!!!! HAHAHAHA |

Im glad Southland is coming back for another season. Law & Order is my fallback show. I have a tivo that I built and I just save up all the shows I can so when it's 4am and im on the messdeck not able to sleep I have something to watch, that is if I can give the EOW to give up the remote. |

I liked Southland, with the exception of one thing... they knew it was a show being made for regular television, not HBO or Showtime or something like that. I'm not naive, I know cops don't walk around talking like Leave it to Beaver "Well shucks Wally..." But why do they include all the profanity just to have beeps in the show?!?!?! That just made no sense to me what so ever! If it was on HBO and there was cursing, I wouldn't even notice it. But on NBC and then fill it with beeps??? I did really like the show and the storyline but that just pulled my attention away from it. |

The new one I like is Rizzoli & Isles but that's only because it is set in Boston and I can see areas where Colin bums around! |
