    Hi all,
    I am looking for information regarding the use of electronic deck and engine logs aboard merchant ships.

    Is this allowed aboard U.S. merchant ships if so or not, have there been any articles written regarding their use for or against??

    All I can find is some vague references in the US Code (USC) and Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs). You might try searching the International Maritime Organization (IMO) conventions, circulars and documents. Sorry I can't be of more help.

    I thought for sure I could nail this one. Boxcars so far.
