Colin has been pretty fortunate with all of his underway trips not to run into any bad weather at all. A little fog maybe, but pretty much flat, calm seas... I know, Lucky Duck! However, I got an email from him this weekend, apparently this is no longer the case... all he said was visibility down to 500 meters and I quote "I'm going down with the ship, Posiedon will take me home." He says there was some rocking & rolling going on. I don't want to say he has a flair for the dramatic however... strange kid!
Hope everyone else is having nice weather, apparently the Seneca was having a rough go a few days ago! There is Tropical Storm Colin out in the Atlantic... Colin versus Colin??? (I don't know if they were anywhere near that storm, I just think it's funny.) |

I love having a semi-connection! Not a complete connection because I would never dream of asking her about the ship, even though I have a feeling she knows. LOL |

I figured the seas didn't reclaim Seneca to the depths... someone in a black car would have shown up at my doorstep by now. I said something to Colin once about not knowing if he was ok or not and worrying about him... he said if my checking account suddenly has an extra 400,000 in it, assume it isn't good for him. I busted up laughing when he said that, as morbid as the thought is, it was pretty silly! |

The few times when the idea of the ship I was on sinking crossed my mind, I had but one thought. "Captain, it's a lovely ship. I think you should go down with it." As I sailed away on a life raft. |

Now that is one impressive boat!!! Colin was sailing around the Cape area when they were having the most shark sightings, they had just left port. He said to one of the OS's if you hear "Pon pon pon pon, this is the Orca, we need a bigger boat..." The OS didn't get it! Colin just laughed and walked away! Jaws is absolutely my all time favorite movie. |
