Just wanted to shout out to this forum's regular informants. I just received my boot camp date (Oct 19th), and the whole process has been very informative thanks (in part) to this forum. I'll be hoping (after my time of toilet scrubbing and weeding) to go MST. I just hope I get stationed on a cutter...gotta get off the land! |

Are the chances of getting a cutter just as good as anything else, as a non-rate? |

Chances are pretty good you will be asigned to a cutter. As good as being assigned anywhere else. Big, white & outta sight??? |

Just ask for an afloat unit on the comments section of your dream sheet.

| Fighting spirit.- You know what this is. Without it, you are only a human biped who wears pants. With it, you are a live, red-blooded go-getter-one who will succeed. Have you the grit to stay with a hard job? Never say "I can't." Forget there is such a phrase. Don't be a quitter. "A man may be down but never out" - until he admits it."

Surf, Absolutely use it!! That's what my son wants for just about his entire career! My e-husband will say "Big white needle of death", I prefer big, white & outta sight. Colin has a lot of fun on his ship, a lot of work too but a lot of fun!!! Macie |
