What should I be asking for or considering when negotiating a Reserves contract? I have read about the possibility of an enlistment bonus but is this offered to all ratings? Also can you get a contract stating you get to go to A school immediately following boot camp? Anything else to consider, for reference I am going the Maritime Enforcement route. Thanks to anyone in the know.

unsure about any enlistment bonus's at this point, if any they are most likely if you choose to go a rate that is critical, or short handed such as OS or something of that sort...you may be able to go to a school directly out of boot camp assuming the school you choose has a slot in that class and of course if that class starts right when you get out...you should be able to work all of that out before you swear in...reminder...once you are in you are in...they can change anything on you at any point so just be prepared for anything and everything particularly in the reserves as you obviously will have a civilian lifestyle too which you will have to maintain under the circumstances...
