I know boot camp can be pretty miserable without your normal daily comforts, but I was hoping that I could make it as comfortable as possible(if that is even possible LOL)

I was wondering, would any of these items be disallowed:

    1. Blister proof crew socks (all white, of course) with arch support.
    2. Venus disposable razors (http://www.tulumba.com/storeitem.as...00016118). I have really sensitive skin, and shaving with those really crappy disposables would make me rash up really bad.
    3. Tweezers (for eyebrows)
    4. Deodorant brand of my choosing
    5. Dental Floss
    6. I have a long torso, so I was planning on buying Tall v-neck undershirts by Round Tree and York. My husband wears them for work and they are a lot softer and more comfortable than the cheap 5 pack of fruit-of-the-loom brand. They are tagless.
    7. So...Granny panties.... I hear that the "Grannier" they are, the better. There are some comfortable looking white granny panties at Victoria's secret, but they say Victoria's sectret around the waist band in a shinier (but still white) thread.
    8. Can sports bras have underwires or any small, non-conspicuous logos? (providing that they are white or tan)

Bootcamp = no comfort, at least from what I understand. Just stick to the Helmsman. I have a feeling, if you try to push it, you might get smoked. go generic.

Follow the Helmsman, the brands you buy don't make a difference.

They will provide you the appropriate socks "approved" for bootcamp use. The only time you will need to use your own socks would be the first couple of days before you are given a sea bag with all your required uniforms and other required items. They provide you with a toilettres kit: shaving cream, razors, toothpast, toothbrush, toothbrush container, floss, nail clippers...believe me, there will be no time to shave for a few weeks unless your super efficient. lol.

DEFINITELY, bring your own white panties and at least 6 sports bras.

During your first night at boot camp, they will ask you to empty out all your items you brought from home onto a table and will be instructed as to what you can keep and what you must stow away until graduation.

Any boot camp questions, feel free to PM me. I graduated in April.

you can bring all of that, but I wouldn't. You don't have alot of space in your rack. maybe a couple of extra white tube socks. bringing t-shirts would be a waste because you HAVE to wear the blue ones they give you. I would bring 10 sports bras because you want to change them often. It doesnt matter what kind they are as long as there white.

Also keep in mind, it is only 8 weeks, not 8 months or 8 years... so if you have to give up a few creature comforts, you will be so busy you will hardly notice. Just go with the flow, graduate and then you can have all of your normal, I want to be me, comforts back again. Boot Camp isn't designed to be comfortable, it is designed to train you and train you they will, regardless of white type of bra, panties, deodorant, razors you prefer to wear/use.

I would only bring 5-7 sports bras. We did our laundry twice a week and you get the laundry back on the same day. Def bring those things on your list, but only a few extra socks. The white socks they give you are fine, they give you 6 pairs. They issued us dental floss, but it was waxed and crumbled. I would have a better toothpaste and an extra deodorant. Maybe some type of Stridex face wipe. You don't usually get much time at all for showering and hygiene. There was usually a crap load ton of feminine hygiene products available in our storage locker from previous companies. So.. no worries there. You can always buy a lint roller at the exchange. They will make you put a ton crap load of gel in your hair so it is "like a bullet." So either get it cut super short to not have to worry about it, or just buy a bunch of gel when you get here and hair ties. They gave us razors and shaving cream, but usually there wasn't any time except for swim circuits or remedial swim to use it.
