Well Zach is now out of Sturgeon Bay and is now going to A school in Yorktown, Virginia. He came home for a week before going to Virginia. As usual we had a great time but man does saying goodbye suck! Even though I know I'll see him again in November, this time seemed to be especially hard on me and I don't know why. I just hope it doesn't continue like this. I love it when he comes home but at the same time I hate it becasue I know I'll have to say bye and that is the part I hate! We always end it the same way, hang out and spend time together in the morning then come back home, say our goodbyes give eachother a hug and off he goes. Hopefully when he gets re-stationed when he is done with school it will be closer to home and I can see him more often. Talk about dreaming though. Any comments are appreciated! My son has been in the USCG for over two years now, and is currently at TraCen Yorktown as well. He graduates in October, and will then be based "somewhere". I don't get to see him often, and it is ALWAYS very hard to say "goodbye" to him. Sometimes it rips my heart in two... But I'm happy for him as I know that he is "in good hands" and has a great career opportunity and is serving his country!

It's hard, no matter the relationship, but just know that you are not alone! You will always be proud of your brother, as I am of my son!! Take care.

My son is graduating this Friday , Nov 4th.I am counting each day so I can see him . Have him for few days and he will be gone again. Not sure if I can handle another goodbye, and I guess there are more to come. Saying goodbye to the one you love is never going to be easy, espcially your son, my heart goes out to all the Moms. Just hope all our sons will be safe out there. God bless them all.
