Pack what your Helmsman tells you to pack and you will be fine. It is your OFFICIAL source for information.

You want tube socks not ankle socks in boot camp, I wouldn't bring that many white socks three would be better for each. You really only need one white v-neck shirt. They do issue you shaving cream in boot camp and you get a couple of chances to buy more there at the exchange if you need it. I would bring some more cash because there's your company t-shirt, challenge coins, pizza party, and other stuff at the end that you need to pay for in cash. Don't forget to pack your debit card. Just follow your helmsman like chuckles said and try not to pack alot. They issue you ALOT of stuff.

They do issue you socks.. I didn't like the black socks they issue, so I brought my own black tube socks. You really only need a couple more white socks. They issue you 6 pairs. I would bring better toothpaste, the one they issue sucks, and another deodorant.

Do the socks have to be solid black? Like would it be ok to have an under armor logo at the top?

Your socks should be black like the inside of coffin, 6 ft underground, on a moonless night.

A lot of people brought more than 1 V-neck and they either used them to shine their boots or gave them to someone who didnt have any. The material you get to shine your boots sucks so everyone was tearing everyones extra v-necks and using them. So its not a bad idea to have extra v-necks.

You could try going over the logo with a sharpie if you can't live without them.
