    Hey everyone, haven't been on here in a while. I have a question about the MGIB and the Post 911. If I stop paying into the MGIB on direct access, will I still be qualified for the post 911. Also will I get the money I payed into the MGIB back? and if so when? My FS2 was telling me that he is still waiting for his money back, since he was in before 911 he was paying into the MGIB but the post 911 better suites his wants and needs. If somebody could give me the correct answer it would be greatly appreciated. Also, I live in UPH and my contract says no pets but the Complex I live in allows it is there any kind of waiver I can try to get. Thanks a lot.

    if you want to use the montgomery GI bill then you have to pay in. if you want to use the post 9/11 GI bill, you dont have to pay a cent, its free.
    if you want your money back for the montgomery GI bill, talk to your yeoman. they would have better advice than anyone (unless anyone on this website has gotten a refund yet?)

    just make sure you are POSITIVE that you would use the post 9/11 GI bill over the montgomery GI bill before you do that..............
