My 'Maximum Allowable Weight' question led to another question that I need to ask.
Do I have to DEP-in at least 30 days prior to my ship-date? Or could I do the DEP a week or 2-3 weeks before I actually ship? Is DEP even required? Could I just go and weigh-in/sign and whatever a day or two before my Ship Out date? Just wondering... (am scheduled to DEP Sept 9th, but have to get my weight in check.)
I've already done the physical process, and passed everything. The only thing that I have to do now is weigh-in and swear-in/sign or whatever I'm supposed to do.
Someone had mentioned that I might possibly have to do the DEP at least 30 days prior to ship.

Nikole, see you other post... answered by Chukles. If you are active duty, you must DEP 30 days prior to shipping.

Chukles (active duty recruiter) responded to this question on another thread. You must DEP in (at least) 30 days prior to shipping. Friendly advice...get the weight thing handled with at least 5 lbs to spare. Also remember that if you fail to meet weight, there is no guarantee that your slot might be taken by another applicant...and you may never ship at all.

and remember stress will stop you from losing weight so don't stop once you hit it. I was on a steady weight loss plan and 2 days before boot camp I actually stopped losing and started gaining.

Stress without question will stop weight loss and shift it directly to weight gain overdrive...I need a lot of stress free moments...lol

thx! srry for the repost. I posted this right about the same time 'E' responded to my other post. I quit my job 2 days ago and have been running 1.5 miles at 10AM, 1PM, 4PM 8PM and 11PM. hahaa... I'm doing p90X cardio after my 8PM run.
No weights or strength training because I don't want to gain any muscle mass or anyyything.
I only have like 10 days.
I hate this.
