I finally got accepted to come onto the floor. Passed everything with flying colors. My medical as simple and honest as it is made the MEPS doctors crazy... I passed everything but when it came to the medical reference to my left eye they requested a waiver. My opticians have a bad jester of referencing to it as a cataract yet it's only a birthmark (freckle) that takes the best equipment to find it. It had no impact on my vision in the past and neither will it in the future. Without my contacts (which i wear for daily use like everyone else that needs them) i scored 20 20 when being processed. I don't understand. It seemed like the doctor didn't read my medical papers explaining it. (others docs that processed me said they would pass me if they had the authority) What are the chances of me getting that waiver from that OC? My recruiter just sent the request.

I would immediately set up an appointment with two optometrists (different then your normal one) and explain the situation to them and then beg them for help explaining the freckle as nothing but a birth mark, not a cataract, then as quickly as you can get that to your recruiter...after making copies of course. Then wait patiently and hope and pray for a good outcome but please be prepared for terrible news…

There is one more step you can take if that does not work, that we can discuss at a later time if needed. Let’s see how this plays out first.
