    Ive been lingering around certain sites trying to get a better idea on what my physical exam at fort hamilton will consist of (meps) ive read that it is required for you to get naked. IS this true? I do realize that this should not be a big issue for me if i am pursuing a career in the U.S coast guard but i still would like to know what to expect.

    Jaycoast...this is the welcome aboard forum, you would get much more response in the "General Questions" forum...pretty sure that one of the MODS will probably relocate it very soon for you.

    Yes you will get into your underwear and do some exercises than one on one with the doctor you will have to fully undress. The doctors at meps have to fully certify that you are fit. If a preexisting condition isn't found it can come back to haunt the doctor.
    I wouldn't worry about it that much, especially at boot camp when you do it in your squad bay.
