    I read on line according to Washington post the government wants to cut 3 million from USCG recruiting and that the USCG needs to have more minorities. I read and his and assume this is all bad news for kids waiting for a spot in fy2011. Or even the kids (like me) who have been waiting since fy 2009 and fy 2010.

    I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted Coastie, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

    That is old news, Things changed shortly after the Gulf oil spill. The budget was reinstated and the cuts did not happen. It is still very tough to get in and we are still on the chopping block.

    Good to know it changed, sad that it took an oil spill to overturn but in these times I guess everyone is taking cutbacks. Sorry I wasted your time on old news (oops).
