    Can anyone give me advice ? We are having a baby due in Jan and I want to make sure I know everything  I need to do for tri care and the Coast guard after I have the baby . Also does anyone know of good deals we get anywhere being military and having a baby ?  We are really tight on money and would love to take any deals we can get .

    First off, Tricare or your local MTF (military treatment facility) will cover most if not all of the expense of child birth. When the baby is born, take the birth certificate to your admin office. They will guide you through the process of getting your child in the system. Check out momslikeme.com for great info and deals local to you.

    Many congratulations!!!!

    If you have a Burlington Coat Factory near you, I know if you show your military ID they offer a 10 or 15% discount on everything! They generally have pretty nice stuff to set up a nice little nursery.

    Enjoy Christmas... this is the last one that will be all about you and your hubby! After this it is all the babies Christmas. Sleep in, enjoy a fabulous dinner, open presents gently, with care, sit quietly under a palm tree (if you are in Florida) or near a roaring fire (if you are in the north), sipping alcohol free sparkling cider and just sigh a peaceful relief! Because the whole game changes with Christmas 2011! LOL But it is a great change and a lot of fun!
