I lived out on Long Island near Huntington Station for a month, it was pretty great but taking the LIRR into Manhattan for $20 roundtrip was a little exhausting.  Good times, though.

Yea the LIRR is getting way too expensive. Its $18 roundtrip from my local station. Hence why I try to stay away from the city.

My son ships out from PA on Jan 18 2011. Does anyone know when graduation will be? I'm in CO and would like to start thinking about my trip to his graduation .

Looks like March 11 is when we will graduate but Im not 100% sure...

I was told March 11th, but remember your son may be reverted and not graduate on time (that's a real possibility for any of us)

Hold off until about week 5 before buying tickets. There are so many ways things can go wrong and they can get reverted or held back for illness/injury. You don't want to book too far in advance only to have to change the tickets. That could end up costing you more than the ticket itself.
