After waiting for over a year, I finally got an official ship date from my recruiter. = ) I'm very excited, and looking forward to boot camp. A big thanks to all the members of these forums. I have spent the last 12 months reading through an array of different topics, and I have pretty much learned the answer to every question I have about the Coast Guard.

Your story sounds eerily familiar.  I too have been waiting for over a year, preparing, reading up, and getting in the best shape I can so the transition is smooth as I can make it.  I am shipping from Florida as well Nov 30th.  Miami to be exact.  Anyways See you there!

Hey everybody. I ship out the 30th as well from GA. Can't wait. I am excited to get going in the CG, not so much about NJ winter, but hey at least want to keep running and excercising to stay warm. Looking forward to meeting everyone. I officially DEP in tomorrow morning.

Congrats atwrangler! I'm not too thrilled about the NJ weather either. But I'm pretty sure all the exercise will keep us warm.

Met a few more guys at MEPS today shipping Nov. 30th. Got myself and 2 more for sure, and possibly a 3rd guy if his date gets confirmed. Should be a decent crew from the ATL office.

Finally! I got my ship date confirmed for the 30th today. Looking forward to BC.

Got a definite on my ship date yesterday after I swore in to the DEP. Looks like I'll see y'all on the 30th!! I'll be flying out of Montgomery, AL. Anyone have Facebook?? Send me a message and I'll add you. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Switched my date from Nov. 16th to Nov. 30th. Shipping from Southern California, My process went fairly smoothly and the whole gig only took about 6 months. HUGE thanks to everyone on the forum for all the knowledge I have obtained. I'll be going the route of AST, look forward to meeting you guys.

I am. Are you? I just returned from a dive trip to Maui last month. It was awesome!

Has anyone figured out our graduation date yet? I think it may be around JAN 28 2011. Correct me if I am wrong? Also does anyone know what our company name will be at basic?

just got my ship date today I leave Nov. 30th!!!!!!!!!

I am 20 I am a coach for P90X and I run and swim and try to do as much yoga as I can. cant wait to meet ya too. totally but soooo excited gonna be an experience unlike any other!!!!!!! but yes getting really nervous/ anxious

If I am correct graduation day is Jan. 21 and judging by the roster on uscg.org TRACEN I believe we will be in Hotel company

My son is shipping on the 16th and is in Hotel.  I believe that everyone shipping out on Dec. 7th will be Juliet -  so you will probably be India

Im leaving November 30th as well out of Seattle so stoked to be joining! Itll be interesting since everyone on here seems to be exercising getting prepared. Any one else out of Seattle?
