Is anyone else getting a ton of random friend requests asking for confirmation.  I of course delete them but should this be expected being part of this forum?

I have been an active member for 2 years plus and honestly this is the first time it has ever happened. Chukles will do his very best to knock this off and catch those offending people on the board. I doubt they are even people. I'm sorry this has happened but no system is perfect, obviously something spammed into our happy little home and it will be corrected. Hang in there and I will almost guarantee it will stop.

Yeah I've gotten a lot of friend requests too. Since I'm new around these parts, I just figured people do that. Some of them I think are legit members because I've seen them around posting, some from my basic company. But there are a couple I have to wonder about and I think those have already been addressed. A few PMs lately asking about my ship date, which seems odd.  But they seems to be shipping out around the same time so a legit question perhaps.

I got the same and figured anyone who call mes Dear without knowing me should get ingnored anyways...

I too have received, what seemed to be, legit friend requests. They were from females, and all of them regular posters. I have no clue what it was about so I denied them.

Is there any word on chinamsa?

I received a friend request from them a few weeks ago I guess. No posts or anything, but they were friends with CSAYank and Yankswife (and only them so far as I could tell) so I wasn't sure if this was a legit member or not.

Chinamsa appeared to be spam originating in China.

XD Fair enough. I remember some of the stuff we did when I was an admin at an old forum I was at. We had all kinds of fail-safes and such set up. Of course the members didn't know much because a) it compromised the purpose of those fail-safes being there and b) they didn't need to know.

So tell me, is this another trade secret? I click on chuckles' name and it takes me to his profile. I click on jen's and it takes me to the forum member list. This leads me to assume jen's account and possibly existence is merely a figment of our imagination!

I just tried people NOT on my friend list and I see their profiles... still don't see yours when I click your name, Jen.
